On February 29th, we celebrate Rare Disease Day on the rarest day of the year. It is an opportunity to raise awareness and show our support for equity in healthcare, access to a diagnosis, and life-saving rare disease therapies. Sometimes these diseases can present relatively common symptoms and can hide underlying rare diseases which can lead to misdiagnosis and a delay in treatment.
